Run twice a year at the FHNW, two days each and strictly practice-oriented. You leave with in-depth know-how and concrete recommendations for action, and the experience of having done it, not just seen the slides.
Reliable, secure OT networks are not rocket science. This hands-on course covers the essential network and security concepts: VLANs, modern routing protocols and Spanning Tree, through to redundancy and VPN technologies for remote maintenance and secure site connectivity. You learn how to prevent failures and raise security, with direct application in the OT Network Lab.
Lateral movement, man-in-the-middle attacks, RFID cloning and more. Which attacks are genuinely relevant, and which are myth and marketing hype? You analyse real OT attack scenarios, identify the critical issues, and develop pragmatic countermeasures with clear priorities. Hands-on, practical, and applicable to your own OT environment.
Between courses we run free online Deep Dives on current OT network and security topics: microsegmentation, AI for troubleshooting, scalable OT-WAN, OT IDS and more. The continuous follow-up for course participants, open to anyone working in OT.
The courses are taught in our ContainerLab-based lab: fully virtualised OT topologies you can configure, break and defend with zero risk to production. The same lab does more than training: it validates network designs and rehearses failure scenarios before they reach the real plant.
The courses translate current standards into concrete measures, and give you the room to test them against your own reality.
